Why do you want to be a Trial Moderator?

I am interested in becoming a Trial Moderator because I want to help create a fun experience for all players on Exp Games. I understand that enforcing the rules fairly and effectively is important in maintaining a positive environment. My goal is to ensure that all players follow the server rules and guidelines while also making sure that punishments are fair. I believe that listening to both sides of a situation objectively will help me make balanced and unbiased decisions. Additionally, I am ready to learn from the existing staff team to develop my skills as a moderator to be as effective as possible.

How much knowledge do you have with server rules and the commands used to enforce those rules?

I have a solid understanding of server rules, having little prior experience as a moderator on other Star Wars RP servers. I am familiar with the fundamental administrative commands required to manage the server, including handling tickets and enforcing punishments appropriately. Some important commands I am aware of include:
  • ulx bring [player] – Teleports a player to your location.
  • ulx return [player] – Sends a player back to their original location.
  • ulx sit [player] – Moves a player to a private admin area for a discussion.
  • ulx mute [player] – Prevents a player from using voice chat.
  • ulx gag [player] – Prevents a player from using text chat.
  • ulx freeze [player] – Prevents a player from moving.
  • ulx jail [player] [time] – Restricts a player’s movement for a set duration.
  • ulx strip [player] – Removes a player's weapons and items.
  • ulx warn [player] [reason] – Issues an official warning.
  • ulx ban [player] [time] [reason] – Temporarily or permanently bans a player.
  • ulx kick [player] [reason] – Removes a player from the server.
  • ulx jail [players] [<seconds, 0 is forever: 0<=x, default 0>] - Jails target(s).
  • ulx jailtp [player] [<seconds, 0 is forever: 0<=x, default 0>] - Teleports the jail
While I have prior experience with these commands, I acknowledge that I still have room to improve my understanding of server policies and will actively seek guidance from senior staff to ensure I apply rules effectively.

Do you have any prior experience as a staff member or moderator on other servers?

Yes, I have prior experience as a staff member on Anvil Servers, a serious Star Wars RP server. While most of my time was spent as an Event Master (EM), I gained a clear understanding of staff responsibilities and the importance of rule enforcement. As an EM, I had to collaborate with moderators to ensure smooth and immersive gameplay, which allowed me to observe how various situations were handled from an administrative perspective. I learned how to manage rule-breaking players, handle disputes, and de-escalate tense situations.

What skills or qualities do you possess that make you a good fit for this position?

I believe my ability to remain calm under pressure and assess situations fairly makes me a strong candidate for this role. I have good problem-solving skills and can communicate effectively with players to resolve conflicts in a professional manner. Additionally, I understand the importance of teamwork within a staff team and will ensure that I work closely with other moderators to uphold server standards. While I am confident in my ability to make fair judgments, I recognize that I will continue learning from more experienced staff members and will remain open to feedback.

What do you think are the most important qualities of a good moderator?

A good moderator should possess the following qualities:
  • Fairness & Impartiality – Ensuring that all players are treated equally and that punishments fit the offense.
  • Patience & Communication – Being able to handle conflicts calmly and explain decisions clearly to players.
  • Knowledge of Server Rules – Understanding and enforcing the rules consistently.
  • Professionalism & Maturity – Maintaining a respectful and responsible attitude, even in challenging situations.
  • Teamwork – Working collaboratively with other staff members to maintain server integrity.

Scenarios

Scenario 1: A player has accused another player of RDMing (random deathmatching) them. How do you respond?
I would first bring the player who reported the RDM into a private area and ask them to explain their side of the story. After gathering their perspective, I would bring the accused player into the sit and ask for their explanation. I would then check logs to verify the claims and determine if the kill was justified within the roleplay context. If the accused player is found guilty of RDM, I would issue a warning, kick, or temporary ban depending on the severity and whether they have prior offenses.

Scenario 2: A player is consistently metagaming and using OOC (Out Of Character) information during an IC (In Character) situation. How would you address this?
I would bring the player into a sit and explain that metagaming disrupts the integrity of RP. I would issue a verbal warning and instruct them to avoid using OOC knowledge to gain an unfair advantage. If they continue metagaming, I would escalate the punishment with a formal warning or temporary timeout.

Scenario 3: You notice a staff member abusing their power. What would you do?
I would immediately record evidence of the staff member's actions (via screenshots or video) and report the incident to the appropriate head staff member. If necessary, I would also inform other senior moderators or administrators to ensure the issue is handled properly.

Scenario 4: A player is using inappropriate or offensive language in chat or voice chat. How would you address this?
I would first issue a verbal warning, explaining that offensive language is not tolerated. If the behavior continues, I would mute or gag the player and issue a formal warning. In severe or repeated cases, I would escalate to a kick or temporary ban.

Scenario 5: A player is complaining about another player’s roleplay style in a non-constructive way. How would you mediate this situation?
I would talk to the complaining player to understand their concerns and then observe the reported player to see if their roleplay is disruptive or against server guidelines. If their RP is acceptable, I would encourage the complainant to engage constructively or seek alternative RP interactions. If the reported player is breaking RP, I would guide them on proper RP conduct and issue a warning if necessary.

Scenario 6: Two or more players are in a heated argument during a sit. How do you maintain control and make a fair judgment?
I would first freeze and mute all involved players to restore order. I would then allow each player to speak individually to gather all perspectives. Once I have enough information, I would make a judgment based on logs, evidence, and witness accounts. If players continue to argue aggressively, I would issue warnings or temporary mutes.

Additional Comments:

By submitting this application, I agree to abide by the server rules and understand that the Trial Moderator position is a probationary role where my actions will be closely monitored. I also understand that I may be demoted or removed from the position at any time based on my performance behavior

@LOKIONMARS did you use any form of AI chatbot in any way or form whilst writing this application? Since there's a lot here that's leaping out at me like you have and using tools it highly suggests you have used them, also with your ulx commands did you ask AI or copy and paste or both? Since you added syntax to it, as well as they're bulletein posted, so you either pulled it from the wiki and changed one thing or you did both.
So what I'm looking for is clarification on this.

The short answer is no but, I do see where you are coming form it does look suspicious from my previous attempt. The only thing I can think of that it may be is, Grammarly as I have Grammarly pro, which gives me more suggestions on how I can change my work to make it look better. As for formatting the commands into something like a sentence, I did it because I thought it would make it seem like I knew what I was talking about. So I just want to ensure you, that there was no copy and paste besides me copying it from the doc I made.

Here, I'll be direct the one and only answer did you copy in any way shape or form the ulx commands?
